If you are a guitarist, either going solo or in a group, you still may want to consider having an organ machine. An organ machine is ultimately a handy tool, even becoming a must-have thing for some people. Why? An organ machine will let you generate even wider possibilities of musical pieces and techniques. Your plays will be improved by a huge boost. An organ machine will breathe more richness to your guitar instrument. And while Electro Harmonix devices indeed should become the first choices, Electro Harmonix B9 deserves to have a special review here.
Electro Harmonix B9 is basically the same machine as Electro Harmonix C9, only with different tones. While the C9 sounds more diverse, the B9 is specially designed with classical tones. Hearing Electro Harmonix B9, you will be remembered about the majestic organ riffs of rock music in the ’60s and ‘70s. Talk about Led Zeppelin, Procol Harum, and Jimmy Smith. There are nine presets that are all super cool and super neat: Fat & Full, Jazz, Classic Rock, Gospel, Bottom End, Cathedral, Octaves, Continental, and Bell Organ. You can easily choose one of the nine presets by simply turning the large white knob.
Besides having a rich collection of tones, Electro Harmonix B9 also provides a decently wide range of adjustment. It has a total of five knobs, one of them has been mentioned earlier and functions to select a preset, while the others are dry volume knob, organ volume knob, mod knob, and click knob. The dry volume knob is for controlling the volume of untreated instrument while the organ volume knob is for controlling the volume of the preset organ tone. Meanwhile, the mod knob and the click knob are self-explanatory, as they adapt to the preset chosen. The mod knob controls the modulation speed, while the click knob controls the percussive click level.
Electro Harmonix B9’s performance is exceptional, thanks to the variety of tones and dual outputs. You can easily fill every music with it. While being extremely easy to use, it is also designed to be rugged. It is constructed in a metal body, so you can be sure that it will last for a long time. Excellent value for the money.
