MXL V67G
MXL V67G is a pressure gradient condenser mic with a 6-micron gold-spluttered diaphragm. It is typically known as a solid-state mic that breathes warmth into the audio reproduction. Having a cardioid polar pattern, it picks up sounds the best from the front, but MXL V67G is a very sensitive mic that it can also capture some ambient noise from the rear or the sides, so using it in a properly treated environment is always a very great idea. AT2020
Audio Technica AT2020 is a microphone with a fixed-charged back plate and permanently polarized condenser. It also has a cardioid polar pattern with a more-or-less similar sensitivity level as MXL V67G. It also requires 48V phantom power to operate. Nonetheless, Audio Technica AT2020 is very different to MXL V67G because it has a less-colored audio reproduction. It typically sounds bright and neutral. The frequency response range is 20 Hz – 20 kHz. With no bass roll-off, Audio Technica AT2020 picks up lows, mids, and highs quite equally well. As the effect, Audio Technica AT2020 can be more versatile, excellent not only for vocals but also for various instruments.
