Design
EVH 5150 III is armed with seven 12AX7 preamp tubes and two 6L6 power amp tubes. The speaker is one 12” Celestion Special Design. On the other hand, Marshall JVM is only equipped with five 12AX7 preamp tubes and two EL34 power amp tubes, and the speaker is a 12” Celestion speaker. On the other hand, EVH 5150 III does not thin out, and sounds clearer and more accurate on the high gain channel. It sounds fantastic, covering most territories very well. It has very usable tones at all gain and volume levels.

EVH 5150 III has three channels, which are clean, crunch, and lead. There are dedicated controls for the first/second and third channels. Marshall JVM only has two channels.
